76 Days left in 2014 Were You Successful ???

Well can you believe it! There are only 76 days left in 2014 and we will once again arrive at another new year. No I am not going to talk about the new year quite yet. Lets talk about the days left in this current one and did we arrive at all the goals we set for ourselves at the beginning of the year.Time for a little check in.
Were you successful in everything you set out to do? Will you have them all accomplished before the year is up? Did you take responsibility and follow through with a daily action plan? Did you come up short?

I took a good look at all mine and I have to say I did accomplish some of them, however I didn't hit all of them yet, but that's okay because they will continue do be worked on until they are completed. Sometimes our time line doesn't line up with the universal plan and there can be any number of reasons for that. The only thing we have to ask ourselves is did we give it our best did we implement the steps necessary every single day. Did we take action? How about you? Have you taken a look at your list? Do you still have time to get some of those done before the year is complete? If you put down 20 lbs as a goal and you have only lost 10 you still have time so just regroup re-plan and get going. Finish off 2014 strong and get ready for 2015.

Chakradance-Unleash the Spirit Within

Please come and explore Chakradance Sunday August 10th 230 pm at Healing Movements Studio as we explore.

Muladhara-The Base Chakra- The Dance of Instincts
The dance of the base chakra draws inspiration from tribal dancing. These dances are liked to our roots, survival and grounding. In Chakradance we envision dancing around an ancient campfire, bringing our own tribal dance to life. We also draw inspiration on the natural movements found in the animal kingdom.Shamans believe that animals can teach humans the power of instinctual energy and animal dances are deeply entrenched in shamanic ritual. A tiger, snake or dragon may join you- all animals whose energy coresponds to the base chakra

Chakradance has arrived!!!

CHAKRADANCE – UNLEASH YOUR SPIRIT WITH THE SISTER OF YOGA

CHAKRADANCE  is a dynamic form of dance which aids in relieving and balancing the
stresses of modern day living. Offering similar benefits to yoga, CHAKRADANCE increases your
awareness of the connection between your body and soul and leaves you with a feeling of
inner peace and serenity.

“CHAKRADANCE  draws on a fusion of philosophies and musical styles, focusing solely on
personal experience, and balancing individual chakras – the energy centres which are the
gateways to integrating mind, body and spirit,” says founder, Natalie Southgate.

“Through dance we are able to free up our natural energy flows and harmonize our chakras,
thereby strengthening our state of health and well-being. Participants are taken on a dynamic
dance journey through their own energy centres.”

No dance experience or prior knowledge of the chakras is necessary. Guided by music
resonating to each of the seven chakras, CHAKRADANCE  participants are taken on a
spiritual dance journey.

As individuals dance to the frequency of each chakra, different issues surface allowing the
opportunity to explore the issues and experience the emotional charge related to the issues.
These experiences can then be integrated into our everyday lives.

Participants leave reality behind – surrendering to the music and dancing from the inside out –
ultimately freeing our natural energy flows and feeling more alive!
This educational, enlightening experience is currently being run as a series of courses and
workshops.

Home Workouts Versus Gym Workouts....

Its the end of the day and you just finished work your on your way to the gym to get a workout in before you head home to manage the family. You pull into the parking lot and slowly cruise through trying to find a parking spot or wait for someone to leave, you begin to be frustrated finally a spot becomes available and you pull in and head inside.Upon your arrival there is a bit of a line up of people coming in, trying to scan there cards and the front desk is busy so you wait your turn to scan in. Yes your in  and head to the change room to get your workout clothes on and find a locker to put your stuff into and your good to go.Heading out to the workout area its very busy and your looking for a piece of equipment to workout on,they all happen to be full so you change your plans and warm up another way simply running the indoor track then you go find some weight training machines to get on and its busy so you just set in with others and take your turns. Some people are courteous enough to wipe the machine down when finished and others not so much, okay that was sweaty to sit on, ugh  you move on. That is what it can be like to workout at a gym but there are always pros and cons to everything, you have to decide whats right for you.

Workouts at home can solve a lot of time issues for people, when you take into account that you might have to drive 20 minutes to the gym there and back home 3-5 times a week that starts to add up to hours wasted where as you could just head home and use that extra 20 minutes toward your workout.Setting up an area at home to workout in is not difficult and can be quite affordable especially a savings for the whole family. You don't need big pieces of equipment to get a great workout, you just need a great workout plan that is functional and uses smaller pieces of equipment that can give you an awesome workout. For the cost of your yearly membership fee at the gym you can get some great pieces of equipment to get you started and you can also have a Personal Trainer help you make that plan and recommend pieces of equipment that will give you the best bang for your dollars. In my next blog I will recommend some great pieces of equipment to get you started!!
